There is a little dog,
Who, is a Beagle, not a hog;
She is not too small, not too big,
But always ready to do a gig.
"Come!", I called,
On the floor she'll sprawl;
The dog does not heed,
Unless I have some yummy treats.
I came to my senses,
Ignoring her pretenses;
No matter how much i cry,
Just let sleeping dogs lie.
