speechless
Every Sunday evening, we bring Sapphire to a larger park, it's only slightly further, two minutes drive, her usual walks are at the park which is just at the end of the road!
Since it's the weekend, we see more joggers and people hanging out with their families.
So the question is, are dogs allowed? Well at the entrance, the sign says pets ARE allowed, but must be leashed. But along the way, other signs say No Pets Allowed. Bah, we bring her along anyway, cause we're not the only (responsible) dog walkers there!
Now the drama begins, as we were strolling, a boy and his dad were behind us within an earshot away, Boy asked: "Dad, they said no pets allowed, but why do people still bring their dogs?" Dad answered:"Because these people don't understand English."
I was mortified. Before I could respond, the Hubs turned around and said sharply to the man: "What do you mean we don't understand English?!"
He quickly replied: "Oh, I wasn't talking about you!"
Hubs: "Yeah, RIGHT!"
That man walked away with his son, as fast as he could.
I will leave the other drama to another post. Yep, it happened on the same evening.
Sigh. To make it up, we met a fellow beagle, a husky, a cute little toy poodle, two corgis and many other doggies that were enjoying their walk with their masters.

That's a pretty silly thing to do, to have conflicting signs. Maybe they need to make clearer if there is one area that dogs are allowed and others not. And those people were just plain rude. Hope Sapphire continues to enjoy her Sunday walks.

Maybe in some part of the park pets are allowed and in some other part of it pets are not allowed...? We do sometimes see conflicting signs like those. What makes things more complicated is that similar signs, especially pictorial signs, are used for different purposes. A sign of a person with a dog on leash can mean that dogs are allowed but only on leash, or that dogs are allowed whether on leash or not.
As the OP Pack said, I hope Sapphire continues to enjoy her Sunday walks in the park (*^^)v

If you're a good girl, Sapphire, and respectful of the park, why not?!

Huge respect for your Hubs for answering back! What a wuss that man was. I bet he didn't expect that. BOL!
I haven't come across a dog park with conflicting signs or maybe I just never noticed them. But I have been to a park that says "dogs allowed" but then some man in that park chased us out! Sheesh.
Mind telling me which park that was with the conflicting signs?
Well done to your hubs! Some one has to stand up for our canines.
Let's join us at Central Park or Desa Park City. It's a friendly park and you can make new friends every weeks. :) Just ignore the ignorant people. Hv a nice day.
Good for Hubs!
